In an attempt to observe, point and rescue residual and ephemeral elements of the art production processes –phases that, even if significant, are not considered finished work– emerges some sort of archive or personal collection that registers photorealistic paintings, images on works of six artists with whom I shared a residency. Each painting proposes a displacement from which is registered, establishing some kind of hierarchy and relating my production to that of the others, tensioning and expanding the idea of authorship, as I combine the documentary with the strictly artistic. The appropriation is completed with a painted text that reproduces the typography of the artists and becomes part of the image, showing names and titles. Thus, simulating certain institutional ways of visibilization, I aim to capture the experience, considering painting as a possibility to relate and register.
