Photo of Yoon Dongju’s handwritten manuscript of Prelude. It is the first poem you see on his poetry book for charity, “Sky, Wind, Stars, and Poem,” that he wanted to publish to celebrate his graduation from Yonhui Colelge. As seen in the picture, the original manuscript did not have a title for the poem, but the title, Prelude, was given with its publication on the Jeongum Press in 1948. The work expresses a condensed view of his life based on self-reflection, insight into his time, and a will to put these into practice.
