Biography:
Abeer Gupta is a Palestinian architect and designer who lives in Amman, Jordan. She is best known for her design of a multi-use, disaster shelter for refugees called 'Weaving a Home'. She is a member of RISE- Jordan's Women's Everest Expedition, and has worked for Villa Moda in Kuwait and directed the first contemporary art fair in Jordan in 2010. Her works have been featured internationally, including at the MoMA in New York, the MAK in Vienna, and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. She was awarded the Lexus Design Award in 2013.
