Biography:

Afanasiy Petrovich Munkhalov was a Yakut artist born in Yakutsk, Russia in 1935. He was a graphic artist known for his linocut prints. Munkhalov was named a People's Artist of the RSFSR in 1982 and was the first recipient of the Oiunsky State Prize of the Yakut ASSR in 1972. He died in 2014.
