Biography:

Affortunato Gory was an Italian sculptor who was active in Paris from 1895 to 1925. He was born in Florence and studied sculpture at the Academy under the direction of Auguste Rivalta. Gory was known for his Art Deco figurative sculptures, often combining materials such as bronze, ivory, and marble. He exhibited his work at the Salon until the beginning of the First World War. Gory died in Paris in 1925.
