Ahmed Abdelwahab, also known as Ahmad Abdelwahab, is an Egyptian artist born in Tanta in 1932. He studied drawing and painting in Cairo, in the Faculty of Fine Arts, and specialized in sculpture. Abdelwahab is an eminent figure among contemporary Egyptian sculptors, having devoted his art to the pursuit of a contemporary model of Egyptian sculpture. His interest was drawn to the figure of Akhenaton, and he has created numerous sculptures inspired by this ancient Egyptian pharaoh. Abdelwahab has exhibited his work in various galleries and museums, and his sculptures can be found in public spaces in Egypt and other countries.
