Biography:

Albany E. Howarth (1872 – 1936) was an English etcher and watercolorist of architectural subjects, especially churches. He worked widely in England but also traveled to France and Italy where Venice with its Doge Palace was a subject of his etching. He was elected Associate of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1910 and had a solo exhibition at Dowdeswell & Dowdeswell in 1912. He exhibited regularly at the London Fine Arts Society, the Royal Academy of London, and the Royal Engravers by 1905. He was also the author of 'The Art of Making Fine Prints', published in 1901.
