Alberto Augusto de Souza was a Portuguese artist known for his work as an aguarelista (watercolorist), illustrator and designer. He was born on October 27, 1880, in Santa Isabel, Portugal. De Souza studied under notable artists such as Manuel de Macedo and Nicola Bigaglia. Throughout his career, he gained recognition for his skillful use of watercolors to depict landscapes and architectural scenes. One of his most famous works is the 'Main Gate of the Convent of Santa Clara in Oporto.' Alberto Augusto de Souza passed away on November 15, 1961.
