Biography:

Alejandro Almanza Pereda was born in Mexico in 1977. He lives and works in Mexico City. Influenced by living in different parts of Mexico and the United States, he grew interested in how different cultures perceive danger and risk. His work explores the culturally specific paradigms of safety, danger, and architecture through the juxtaposition and pairing of materials and objects. He has a Master's degree in Arts from Hunter College, New York. He has done solo shows in various institutions and his work has been featured at several international art festivals.
