The Workshop of Alphonse Giroux et Cie was a French company based in Paris, France, that operated between 1799 and 1867. The company was founded by François-Simon Giroux and was initially involved in the commerce of objects of fantasy and paperwork. In 1834, the company began to focus on ébénisterie (cabinet making) under the name of Alphonse Giroux. In 1838, the company was taken over by Alphonse-Gustave and André Giroux, who operated it under the name Alphonse Giroux et Cie. The company was located at 7 rue du Coq-Saint-Honoré in Paris and later moved to 43 boulevard des Capucines. The company was known for its production of high-quality furniture in various styles for the French royal family and other clients. The company also sold photographic equipment and was the official restorer of Notre Dame Cathedral. The company was ceded in 1867 to Duvinage and Harinbouck and later directed by Ferdinand Duvinage, his wife, and A. Philippe and E. Arnut. The company disappeared in 1885.
