Biography:

Andre Durst was a French artist born in Puteaux in 1895 and died in Rueil-Malmaison in 1983. He was a painter, humorous illustrator, musician and writer. He made his debut in Midinette in 1930 and drew for various publications. He was also known under the pseudonym Durane. He was the father of Jean Baptiste Auguste Durst and Marie.
