Biography:

Andrey Lavrentyevich Prokopyev was born in Krasnoyarsk, Russia in 1951. He was a Russian painter known for his landscapes and still lifes. Prokopyev studied at the Krasnoyarsk Art School and later at the Surikov Institute in Moscow. He was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR and the Russian Academy of Arts. Prokopyev's work has been exhibited in Russia and abroad, and he has won numerous awards for his paintings. He died in 2019.
