Biography:
Antanas Sutkus is a Lithuanian photographer. He is a recipient of the Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Arts, the Order of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas, and the Dr. Erich Salomon Award. Sutkus is one of the co-founders and a president of the Lithuanian Association of Art Photographers (Lithuanian: Lietuvos fotografijos meno draugija). He is interested almost exclusively in people and is known for his black and white portraits of ordinary people in their everyday life. He has been living in Vilnius, Lithuania since 1958.
