Toninho de Souza is a Brazilian artist born in 1951 in Riachão das Neves, Brazil. He is a versatile artist who works with various mediums such as painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, muralism, engraving, set design, drawing, poetry, writing, and digital art. De Souza's work is characterized by its use of strong colors, absolute abstractions, and pictorial metaphors. He has exhibited his work in several countries, including Brazil, France, England, Iraq, Mexico, the United States, and Spain. Toninho de Souza is known for his Melanciacultura style, which he developed over the years. He has also been involved in various projects, such as painting a tapume of works in Rio de Janeiro and creating an installation for the 1st International Contemporary Art Biennial in Chapingo, Mexico.
