Ariyama Reiseki, also known as Ariyama Chotaro the 3rd, is a Japanese ceramic artist born in Ibusuki, Japan in 1949. He specializes in black Satsuma ware, a type of Japanese pottery known for its distinctive black glaze. Reiseki's works have been purchased by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and he is a regular exhibitor at the Nitten, a prestigious art exhibition in Japan. He has also been awarded the Yomiuri West Prize. Reiseki's works often feature natural motifs, such as flowers and plants, and are known for their delicate and intricate designs. He is considered one of the leading artists in the field of black Satsuma ware.
