Biography:
Art Green was born in Frankfort, Indiana in 1941. His father was a civil engineer who designed bridges, and his mother crafted quilts and grew flowers. Green initially set out to be a car designer, but he switched gears to graphic design when he started at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has since become a prominent artist, known for his unique iconography and his contributions to the Chicago Imagists movement. However, in recent years, Green has been the subject of controversy due to allegations of sexual misconduct. As a result, he has been barred from Hebrew College and other institutions.
