Biography:

The Artists from Dinajpur are a group of artists from the Dinajpur district of West Bengal, India. They are known for their traditional handicrafts, particularly their wooden masks used in folk dances. The masks are made using various materials such as clay, wood, sponge wood or shola, pith, paper, and metal. The masks are used in the Mask Dance, a traditional folk dance of West Bengal. The Artists from Dinajpur have been practicing this art form for many years and have been recognized for their work both nationally and internationally. In 2015, The Rural Craft Hub of Bengal, which includes the Artists from Dinajpur, was selected by UNESCO to showcase their artwork in Paris.
