Biography:

Bijan Saffari was an Iranian artist born in Tehran in 1938 and died in 1975. He was a significant figure among modern Iranian artists and a Marxist theorist. Saffari was one of the founders of the Organization of Iranian People's Fedai Guerrillas. He was known for his watercolor paintings and his style was influenced by Shariatism, a body of ideas that describes the inspiration, vision, and the life work of Ali Shariati.
