Biography:

Biljana Djurdjevic is a Serbian Postwar & Contemporary painter who was born in 1973. She holds an MA from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. Djurdjevic's work deals with social problems and has been exhibited in numerous key galleries and museums such as Salon of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade. She has also been the subject of a solo exhibition at Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Sweden. Djurdjevic's paintings are characterized by eyes that cut into the room, expressing various emotions such as anger, despair, shame, disconsolation, and apathy. Her work has been featured in various media outlets, including Artsy and Hestia Belgrade.
