Biography:
Bizhan Bassiri is an Iranian artist born in Tehran in 1954. He moved to Rome in 1975 and currently lives between Rome, Fabro (Terni), and Tehran. Bassiri began to exhibit his artworks in 1981, participating in individual and collective exhibitions. His artistic research includes the use of various materials such as cardboard, bronze, steel surfaces, igneous elements, and photographic elaborations. He is the founder and president of the Fondazione Bassiri. In 2015, he represented Iran at the 57th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.
