Brocchi Pietro Paolo da Imola was born in Imola, Italy in 1497. He was a painter who was active in the 16th century. He is known for his painting 'Cristo alla colonna' which is the only known work of the artist. He was received in Rome by Pope Sixtus IV and became instrumental in the foundation of Santo Stefano dei Mori. He seems to have moved in a context of Romagnola culture influenced by the works of Palmezzano and open to exchanges with the Veneto hinterland. He died in Italy but the year is unknown.
