Biography:

Carlo Simonetta was an Italian sculptor born in Milan in 1600 and died in 1693. He worked in the Duomo of Milan and produced several works in marble. He is known for his work in the Baroque style. He was admitted to the Fabbrica del Duomo in 1660 and worked there for many years. He also worked with Stefano Sampietro on several projects. He is known for his work in the Baroque style and is considered one of the most important sculptors of his time in Milan.
