Biography:
Cecilia Casenave is an Argentine artist and photographer born in Córdoba, Argentina in 1979. She studied Communication Social at the UNC and Photography at the Escuela Lino Spilimbergo. Since 2008, she has been living in Sierras Chicas where she develops her professional and artistic practice. Her work focuses on studio photography and documentary projects. In 2014, after large fires consumed part of the forest reserve in Córdoba Province, her interest shifted towards capturing the drastic transformation of the landscape in her series 'Lo que cambia'. She continues to explore images that account for the sacrifice of certain bodies and the destruction of certain spaces with her project 'Sustancias Eternas'. Cecilia Casenave has exhibited her work in collective and individual shows, galleries, museums, and contests. She continues her training through workshops and clinics, including those with Gerardo Repetto, Guillermo Ueno, Lucas Di Pascuale, and Juan Travnik.
