Biography:

Charles Alfred Woolley was an Australian photographer and artist born in Hobart Town, Van Diemen's Land in 1834. He is best known for his 1866 photographic portraits of the five surviving Aboriginal Tasmanians from Oyster Cove, which were exhibited at the Intercolonial Exhibition of Australasia in Melbourne the same year. Woolley also created drawings, portraits, and visual art. He died in 1922.
