, a French artist, was born on November 5, 1845, in Cour-Cheverny, Loir-et-Cher. At the age of fourteen, he moved to Paris to work as a house painter. In 1868, he entered the studio of Isidore Pils at the École des Beaux-Arts, marking the beginning of his artistic journey.

Artistic Career

Renouard's work was first exhibited in the Paris Salon of 1877. He also participated in the Salon des Artistes Français, showcasing his series of drawings of actors. His satirical illustrations, published in several Parisian journals, including L’Illustration and Paris illustré, demonstrated his exceptional skill as a draftsman and his biting wit.
