Biography:

CSN. Patnaik, also known as Chowdhary Satyanarayana Patnaik, was an Indian sculptor and painter born in Srikakulam district, India in 1925. He specialized in fresco and mural painting and bronze sculpting, with his works often depicting rural life and its traditions and culture. One of his notable works is a statue of Mahatma Gandhi installed at the Telangana Legislative Assembly. He received the Kala Ratna award in 2006 and passed away in 2022.
