Christine Yukenbarri Nakamarra

Biography:

Christine Yukenbarri is an Aboriginal Australian artist. She was born in 1977 and belongs to the Kukatja language group, Nakamarra skin group, Balgo community. Christine is the daughter of two respected artists: Helicopter Tjungurrayi and Lucy Yukenbarri. She learned to paint in the kinti-kinti style of dotting pioneered by her mother and has become one of the leading younger artists in the Western Desert. Christine lives in Balgo with her father and sisters.
