Chris Watts is an American oil field operator who was convicted of murdering his pregnant wife Shanann and their two daughters Bella and Celeste. He was born on May 16, 1985, in Spring Lake, North Carolina. Chris Watts married Shanann in 2012 and they had two daughters together. On August 13, 2018, he murdered his family by strangulation and suffocation, burying their bodies in a shallow grave and crude oil tanks. He was arrested on August 15 after confessing to the crime and later pleaded guilty to multiple counts of first-degree murder. Chris Watts was sentenced to five life sentences without the possibility of parole.
