Cynthia Deyanira Rodríguez Ruiz is a Mexican singer and reality television personality. She was born on May 8, 1984, in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico. Cynthia began her career as a contestant on the reality TV show La Academia, where she finished fourth place. Later, she competed on another reality show called Desafio de Estrellas and was voted off right before the finals. Her debut album Soy was released in June 2006 after leaving Desafio de Estrellas. Cynthia has also sung theme songs for television series on TV Azteca, such as 'Looking for a Man'. She played an important antagonist role in a Mexican telenovela called Bellezas Indomables and released her second album Provocame in March 2008. In the present, Cynthia is playing the protagonist's best friend in the telenovela Mujer Comprada which airs daily on TV Azteca. She also hosts a music videos show called Festival Azteca Music that airs weekly on Azteca America and plans to release her third album for 2010.
