Moncho 1929 (Dan Monteavaro) was born in South Bronx, Puerto Rico in 1975. He is a Los Angeles-based street and contemporary artist known for his colorful murals and sociopolitical content. His artwork can be found in multiple private, city, and corporate collections, including Google, The City of New York, Paramount, the NBA, MLS, Universal Pictures, and The Figge Art Museum. He has exhibited in several solo and group shows at galleries such as LAB ART, The Gabba Gallery, Cheryl Hazan Contemporary Art, DTR Modern, Gallery 825, and Soho House. Moncho 1929's work has been featured in community-driven outdoor initiatives and has been acquired for the permanent collection of The Figge Art Museum.
