Biography:
Daniël Herreyns was a Flemish sculptor and designer active during the 18th century. He is known for his work on various sculptures, including designs for clocks and other decorative pieces. One of his notable works is the design for the head of the giantess Pallas Athena, created in 1766 for the Antwerp ommegang procession. This giantess was a symbol of the city's preservation of its privileges and was presented as the wife of the giant Druoon Antigoon.
