Biography:
Danielle Kwaaitaal is a Dutch artist and photographer born in Bussum in 1964. She studied pattern drawing at the Bijenvelt fashion academy in Amsterdam from 1984 to 1987, then photography at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, where she graduated in 1991. She is known for her digitally manipulated photography and her use of the computer program Paintbox since the 1980s. She had her first solo exhibition at the Bloom Gallery in Amsterdam in 1998. Her work has been exhibited in various galleries and museums in the Netherlands and internationally.
