David Blancas

Biography:

David Blancas is a Visual Artist with a repertoire spanning public art, murals, sculpture, portraiture, mosaics and contemporary artwork. He was born in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico. Blancas became interested in the arts at an early age and decided to study fine arts at the University of San Antonio. He specializes in painting, portraits, mosaics, and murals. His work often depicts Latino history and culture, as well as the blending of cultures between Mexico and the US. Blancas has completed numerous murals around San Antonio, including 'Spirit of a Leader' which was created for the 25th anniversary of the Martin Luther King Jr. march. He aims to educate, engage, and inspire individuals in their respective communities through his art.
