Biography:
Edward J. Russell was a British agricultural scientist and academic who served as the director of Rothamsted Experimental Station from 1912 to 1943. He was also a professor at the University of Aberystwyth and made significant contributions to the field of agriculture and pedology. Russell was a member of the Royal Society and received several honors for his work, including the Order of the Crown and the Albert Medal.
