Biography:
Egas Cueman or Egas de Bruxelles was a Spanish-Flemish sculptor and architect. He arrived in Castile with his brothers, Hanequin de Bruxelles and Antonio or Anton Martinez de Bruxelles. His work is considered a representative of the Gothic Isabelline style. He worked on several projects, including the chapel of Alvaro de Luna at the Cathedral of Toledo, the sculptures of the Porta de los Leones, and the tomb of Alonso de Velasco and his wife at the Monastery of Guadalupe.
