Biography:

Elena Figurina was born in Riga, Latvia in 1955. She moved to St. Petersburg, Russia in 1969 and became involved in the art scene there. Figurina is a painter, graphic artist, and sculptress known for her work in the Fellowship of Experimental Fine Art in the 1980s. She is a Russian Postwar & Contemporary painter with numerous key galleries and museums such as Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art featuring her work. Figurina's artwork 'Bird' was created in 2003 using acrylic on canvas.
