Biography:
Elizabeth Parkhurst Williams, also known as Elizabeth Merry, was born in Burton Agnes Hall, Burton Agnes, Yorkshire, England in about 1796. She was the daughter of John George Parkhurst and Louisa Elizabeth Dodd. Elizabeth was a skilled artist and made a masterpiece of Victorian silk work, the Three Owls Crazy quilt, around 1870. She was the aunt of Edward C. Parkhurst and the great-great-great-grandmother of Ellen Sampson. Elizabeth died after 1832.
