Biography:

Liz Ward is an American artist born in Lafayette, Louisiana. She has worked in various media including photography, textiles, painting, and sculpture. Her work is held by several notable museums such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Tyler Museum of Art. Liz Ward received her BFA from the University of New Mexico and her MFA from the University of Houston. She is a professor of art and art history at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
