Biography:

Satohito (Japanese: 識仁), posthumously honored as Emperor Reigen (霊元天皇, Reigen-tennō, 9 July 1654 – 24 September 1732) was the 112th emperor of Japan, according to the traditional order of succession. He was a strong supporter of the Meiji Restoration, which reformed the feudal society of Japan and led to the modernization of the country.
