Biography:

Enrique Castro-Cid was a Chilean artist born in Santiago in 1937 and died in 1992. He studied at the Universadad de Chile and the New School, New York. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship (1964) and a William Copley Award (1966). He had a number of solo exhibitions in New York at Richard L. Feigen & Co. He pioneered the relationship of computers, geometry and art with a vision of space-time. His limitless imagination and command of the computer in the 1960's and 1970's made him a visionary in the field of digital art.
