Erik Bertil Vallien, also known as Bertil Vallien, is a Swedish artist born in 1938 in Sollentuna, Sweden. He is known for his work in sculpture, ceramics, and glass art. Vallien studied at Konstfack in Stockholm and later at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He began his career as a glass artist and designer at Boda glasbruk and has since worked at various glass factories in Sweden. Vallien is an honorary doctor at Växjö University and has exhibited his work in Sweden, the United States, and other countries. He is married to the late artist Ulrica Hydman Vallien.
