Biography:
Eugenio Montoya was a Colombian artist, born in Rionegro, Antioquia. He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Bogotá and later traveled to Paris in 1891. Montoya was known for his portraits and participated in various government positions, including serving as rector of a college and ambassador to the United States. He also had involvement in the government of Rafael Reyes.
