Ewa Olszewska-Borys is a Polish artist born in 1939 in Warsaw, Poland. She is a sculptor and medallist, known for her work in bronze and striking with a stamp. Olszewska-Borys studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1960 to 1966, under the guidance of professors Alfred Jesion and Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the J. Sanford Saltus Medal Award for lifetime achievement in medallic art in 1993. Olszewska-Borys has exhibited her work in galleries and museums around the world, including the British Museum and the Google Arts & Culture platform. Her most famous work is the 'Medal with profile of Chopin'. Olszewska-Borys continues to create and exhibit her work today.
