Biography:
Farnese de Andrade was a Brazilian artist born in Rio de Janeiro in 1926 and died in 1996. He was a prominent figure in the Brazilian art scene, known for his abstract and geometric works. He was a member of the Grupo Frente, a group of artists who sought to break away from traditional Brazilian art and embrace modernism. He was also a professor at the Guignard University of Art of Minas Gerais, where he trained numerous Brazilian artists. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout Brazil and is part of the collection of the Museu Nacional de Belas Artes in Rio de Janeiro.
