Biography:
Feliza Bursztyn was born in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1933 to Jewish immigrants from Poland. She attended the Art Students League of New York and became a prominent sculptor in Colombia. Bursztyn worked with metal and other industrial materials, often incorporating kinetic elements into her sculptures. Her work was known for its critique of conservative Colombian society and its exploration of feminist themes. Bursztyn died in Paris, France, in 1982.
