Biography:
Ferruccio Mengaroni was born in Pesaro, Italy in 1875 and died in 1925. He was an Italian ceramist known for his work in the rinascimentale style. He was expelled from several schools as a child and began working in a ceramic factory at the age of 12. He later opened his own fornace and produced many works inspired by rinascimentale marchigiane productions. He also expanded his fornace and established the manifattura M.A.P. (Maioliche Artistiche Pesaresi) with his brothers Aristodemo and Ettore Mancini. He exhibited his work in various editions of the esposizione universale and in exhibitions in Italy and abroad. He is known for his opere di grandi dimensioni and his ceramic works inspired by the Renaissance.
