Biography:

Floriano Bodini was an Italian sculptor and contemporary artist. Born on January 8, 1933, in Gemonio, Italy, he began his artistic journey by studying at the Liceo Artistico di Brera before attending the Accademia di Brera under the guidance of Francesco Messina. Influenced by the Milanese group of young artists known as Essential Realism, Bodini's works often expressed the uneasiness and anxiety of existence through powerful portraits and sculptures. Throughout his career, he participated in numerous public art exhibitions across Europe and America, including the Venice Biennale in 1962. In addition to creating monumental pieces for various national and international contexts, Bodini also taught at several prestigious institutions such as the Accademia di Carrara, where he served as Director from 1978 to 1987. He passed away on July 2, 2005, in Milan.
