Biography:
Francisco Prieto Santos was a Spanish painter born in Valladolid in 1884 and died in 1967. He was a regionalist artist from Andalusia with a Castilian origin. He spent his childhood and adolescence in Valladolid, where he studied at the School of Arts and Crafts with the guidance of José Martí y Monsó. In 1917, he became a Special Drawing Professor at the Normal School of Teachers in Cádiz, a position he held until his death. He is known for his oil painting 'Las Cobijadas de Vejer de la Frontera' (1935).
