Biography:

Hernando de Aguilera was a Spanish Jesuit priest and bishop. He was born in 1561 and died in 1637. He served as the Archbishop of Seville for over 15 years and was known for his moral integrity and his work on behalf of the poor and marginalized. He was also a key figure in the establishment of the diocese of Seville and played an important role in the Reconquista. He was called by Queen Isabella to be her confessor and later became her advisor. He was a prominent figure in Spanish history and is remembered for his dedication to his faith and his service to others.
