Biography:

Gao Yan (1616–1689) was a Chinese painter during the Qing dynasty. He is known for his landscape paintings and calligraphy works. Gao Yan's style was influenced by the traditional Chinese painting techniques of the Song and Yuan dynasties, as well as the literati painters of the Ming dynasty.
